We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Active Start & FUNdamentals program in partnership with Special Olympics Yarmouth and the NSCC Burridge Early Childhood Support Centre. An amazing team of early childhood education students will support as coaches and volunteers for this program but caregivers must be present for their child to participate.‍♂️‍♀️

What are Active Start & FUNdamentals?

Active Start & FUNdamentals, designed for children aged 2-12 with intellectual disabilities, is a family-centered activity program that focuses on developing basic motor and sports skills through fun and positive movement experiences. From walking and running to jumping and balancing, our program creates a safe and enjoyable environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Objectives:

Develop play skills through movement and daily physical activity.

‍♂️ Enhance basic motor skills: walking, running, jumping, balancing, and more.
