Jungle Safari Family Hike

Jungle Safari Hike PosterHave you always wanted to go on a jungle safari? Try it in your own backyard! Bring along a camera or binoculars and join us on the Tkipok Trail in Arcadia (meet at the old Arcadia School parking area) Hike starts at 6pm and will last approximately an hour. (with the time change it will stay light out 🙂 ) Dress for the weather and prepare to be stealthy!

 

The Tkipok Trail is an easy grade trail but has some stairs to climb at one location.

Easter Egg Hunt!

 

Can you find the eggs hidden around Frost Park? Come and take a look! 10 egg maximum for all children. Special prize for whoever finds the prize egg!

For Children aged 3 to 10 years. Parental Supervision is required.

Frost Park, Tuesday, March 27th, starts promptly at 4:00 pm

Pirate Treasure! Family Hike

Join Yarmouth Recreation and YASHA (Yarmouth & Acadian Shores Hiking Adventures) for a free guided family hike! We will start at 2pm at the Leif Erikson Trail at the Cape Forchu Light Station. Help us dust off the old treasure map we found and  figure out where the treasure may be hidden while enjoying one of the most scenic walking/ hiking trails we have in our region.

Put some GLIDE back in your STRIDE and the fun back in skiing with a proper cleaning and waxing!

…for waxable and no-wax skis
Sunday, February 18th at Ellenwood
11:00am – 3:00pm *rain or shine

Bring your skis to the ski cabin at Ellenwood on the 18th or call the Yarmouth Rec. Department at 902-642-8868 to register for early drop off by noon on Feb. 16th
Skis will be serviced on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

SERVICES and FEE SCHEDULE *cash or cheque only
$5 Clean off last year’s wax ($10 if Klister was used)
$10 Apply glide wax
$12 Preparation of skis, including ‘hot scrape’
