National Flag of Canada Day , February 15th

Did you know that Canada is the only country with a maple leaf on it’s flag?

Take part in the “Share your Moment with the Flag Challenge” by posting a picture or video of you with the flag and inspire others to do the same! #canadianflag

You can use the opportunity of this exceptional year, the 150th anniversary of Confederation, to express your pride in our magnificent flag!

On behalf of the Town and Municipality of Yarmouth, Yarmouth Recreation will be hosting a ceremony to celebrate National Flag of Canada Day on Wednesday, February 15th and would like to invite you to attend. This special day represents the first opportunity in the new year that Canadians have to celebrate both the Canadian Flag, but also Canada’s 150th anniversary. Yarmouth Recreation will be collecting anecdotes from people reflecting on what it means to be Canadian for use during Canada Day celebrations this year so hope to see you at this event to kick off the year-long party!

Official ceremonies will start promptly at 12:15 pm on February 15th at the Municipal Administrative Building at 932 Hwy #1 in Hebron. Light refreshments will follow in the lobby.
